In the latest episode of Povídání u klubíčka #127 (Yarn Talk Podcast), we unboxed a spring package from the Noezon online store. If you enjoy discovering new yarns, yarn bouquets, and crochet inspiration, you will definitely enjoy this unboxing.
This time we looked at several very interesting yarns – from a luxurious mohair and silk blend to the new NATANA yarn collection, which surprised me the most. Those who regularly follow the Povídání u klubíčka podcast know that besides yarn, we also look through magazines, books, and interesting crafting tools or tips. In the latest episode, for example, we also shared a 20% discount code. Following Krampolinka simply pays off. Creators from Slovakia shop at NOEZON.sk, while Czech makers can find the same products at NOEZON.cz.
Unboxing the package and the recording of the podcast Povídání u klubíčka #127 with NOEZON – ENGLISH SUBTITLES!
What was inside the package?
First of all, the new NATANA collection. This time Noezon focused on the most popular yarn types with different compositions and uses, so everyone can find their favorite yarn – whether you prefer organic cotton, blended yarns, or acrylic fibers. The great advantage of this collection is its versatility. These yarns are suitable for crocheted toys, garments, and home décor projects alike. Honestly – I applaud this choice!
NATANA Cherry Star – a versatile yarn similar to Jeans
Cherry STAR is a very practical blend of 55% cotton and 45% acrylic. With a yardage of 50 g / 160 m, its structure resembles popular yarns such as Jeans. Thanks to this, it is extremely versatile and suitable for a wide variety of projects. It works beautifully for crocheted toys, but also for sweaters and garments. It can also be used for crocheted pillows or blankets.
When working with this yarn, you can easily influence the character of your project by choosing the hook size. For toys, it is better to use a smaller hook so the stitches stay tight and the stuffing does not show through. For garments, a larger hook creates a softer and more flowing fabric. Finished items hold their shape nicely and are perfect for spring and autumn projects. You can explore the beautiful spring color palette of NATANA Cherry Star here.
NATANA Cherry Rose – organic cotton with GOTS certification
Cherry ROSE is made from 100% organic cotton with GOTS certification, which confirms that the cotton meets strict ecological and ethical production standards. The yarn has a yardage of 50 g / 125 m and feels very pleasant to the touch.
Thanks to the smooth fiber, even delicate stitch patterns stand out beautifully. This makes it perfect not only for crocheted toys but also for summer tops, mesh sweaters, or lace projects. Cotton is ideal for summer garments because it feels comfortable even on warmer days.
A small practical tip: never hang crocheted cotton garments on hangers, as they may stretch out over time. Cotton tends to relax, so I always recommend making a gauge swatch first.
Organic cotton feels wonderful to the touch, and from the whole package ROSE surprised me the most. I’m really looking forward to working with it – I’m planning to crochet a sweater. You can explore the beautiful color selection of ROSE here.
NATANA Cherry Bubble – soft acrylic for larger projects
Cherry BUBBLE is a 100% premium acrylic yarn with a yardage of 100 g / 250 m. It is very soft, lightweight, and easy to care for, which makes it an ideal choice for larger projects or everyday wear.
It works great for spring sweaters, cardigans, hats, cowls, but also for home accessories such as pillows or blankets. The yarn has an anti-pilling finish, so it should resist forming fuzz or pills.
In terms of composition and yardage, this yarn is similar to Everyday, Everyday Viking, Elen Baby, or Baby Best. On the Krampolinka website you can already find many projects suitable for this type of yarn – hats, scarves, skirts, sweaters, and cardigans. It is very pleasant to work with and ideal for projects from autumn through spring. You can explore the Bubble color palette here.
Gift idea: a yarn bouquet
If you are looking for an original gift for someone who loves crocheting or knitting, a yarn bouquet can be a wonderful option.
This spring gift set contains six Schachenmayr yarn balls in pastel colors, three crochet hooks, and everything is beautifully arranged in a decorative flower pot with gift packaging. It’s a lovely and creative gift that will delight any maker – for International Women’s Day, birthdays, name days, anniversaries, or simply as a treat for yourself.
You can find the full selection of Noezon yarn bouquets and gift baskets here. I highly recommend them! I already have two Christmas ones and now this spring bouquet as well. Honestly, I almost didn’t want to unwrap it – it looked so beautiful just as it was.
While browsing the NOEZON website, I also discovered two types of yarn that really caught my attention. Let’s take a closer look together.
Luxurious lightness: DROPS Kid-Silk
DROPS Kid-Silk is one of those yarns you recognize immediately by touch. It is a delicate blend of 75% mohair and 25% silk, creating an extremely light, airy, and elegant fabric.
Because of its properties, it is perfect for projects that should be soft, lightweight, and warm at the same time. It works beautifully for light scarves and shawls, airy sweaters, lace projects, or as a companion yarn held together with another yarn.
One ball has a yardage of 25 g / 210 m, and from experience I know that one ball is enough to crochet a panel about 60 × 45 cm. A whole sweater would require about four balls, which means only 100 g of yarn – quite amazing.
I usually use a larger crochet hook with this yarn. The finished sweater feels like a cloud and is perfect for oversized garments and layering. You can explore the beautiful Kid-Silk color palette here. We previously crocheted a beautiful Silk Mohair bolero from a similar material.
Natural blend: ETROFIL Lanacot
Etrofil Lanacot combines the best of two natural fibers. It contains 55% organic merino wool (mulesing-free) and 45% organic cotton. This blend creates a yarn that is soft, warm, and breathable at the same time.
Because of this, it is suitable even for sensitive skin and works well for transitional seasons such as early spring, Indian summer, or late autumn. With a yardage of 50 g / 233 m, it is a very versatile yarn suitable for light sweaters, children’s clothing, crocheted blankets, hats, or cowls.
The yarn is sold in skeins, and the natural color is wonderfully timeless. Considering the quality, the price for 100 g / 466 m is very reasonable. You can find the Lanacot skeins here. For me, this was definitely the find of the month.
I hope this little unboxing inspired you to try new yarns and start a fresh crochet project for the upcoming season. Happy crocheting and enjoy every moment spent with your yarn and hook!
