I brought YarnArt Harmony yarn home after visiting a huuuge warehouse packed with YarnArt yarns. I already knew I wanted to crochet a beanie, and this yarn immediately caught my eye with its beautiful range of colors and unusual color combinations. Every skein was different, and I simply couldn’t decide which one to choose. And let’s not even talk about how long it took me to make up my mind!
YarnArt Harmony comes in 50 g (1.76 oz) skeins with a length of 80 m (87 yd). It is made of 60% wool and 40% acrylic, and the manufacturer recommends gentle hand washing at low temperatures. This is an interesting textured yarn with an uneven thickness and short color transitions. Some sections are thicker, while others are thinner, creating a beautiful three-dimensional texture when crocheted. The colors change quite quickly, making even simple crochet stitches look eye-catching. Every finished project is truly one of a kind.
I crocheted two different hat styles using YarnArt Harmony: a classic beanie with a large black pom-pom and a trendy slouchy beanie with an elongated back that drapes beautifully. Both hats feature vibrant colors and an interesting texture, but their different shapes give each one a completely unique look. I originally created this pattern in 2019, and I still love coming back to it. The yarn is still available at Pletemesi.cz and Pletiemesi.sk.

One of the biggest advantages of this yarn is that you don’t need complicated stitch patterns or multiple skeins to create beautiful color effects. The yarn does all the work for you! Just grab your crochet hook, choose your favorite hat style, and enjoy watching the colors blend together as you crochet. And believe me, with yarn this colorful, it’s hard to put your crochet hook down because you just can’t wait to see which color comes next!

How to Crochet the YarnArt Harmony Classic Beanie and Slouchy Beanie
Start crocheting the hat with a magic ring and gradually increase to create a flat circle of the desired diameter. The entire hat is crocheted by alternating front post and back post double crochet stitches, creating a beautiful textured pattern. Post stitches are also stretchy, so you can make the starting circle slightly smaller than you normally would when using regular double crochet stitches. The hat will comfortably adjust to the head circumference. Once you reach the desired diameter, continue crocheting without increasing until the hat reaches the required length. As you approach the bottom brim, change your hook size to help the hat fit snugly around your head.
Both the classic beanie and the longer slouchy beanie are crocheted using the same method. The only differences are the length and the optional pom-pom. You can decorate the shorter version with a large pom-pom, while the longer slouchy beanie is designed to drape naturally towards the back.
