If you love crochet stitch patterns in all their different forms as much as I do, I have a tip for you today: a handy little box full of stitch pattern cards.
This unusual set of 52 crochet stitch cards is called Crochet Stitch Patterns – a set of 52 cards with instructions by Esme Crick. The set was published last autumn, but I have only now had the chance to go through the box of cards properly. The box also includes a small booklet with crochet stitch diagrams and instructions for making a pom-pom and a tassel.
Each card shows a crochet stitch pattern in detail. On the reverse side, you will find the written crochet instructions. Each stitch pattern has its own name, such as One Way or Diagonals, and the patterns are divided into filet crochet, classic stitches, bobble stitches, and decorative patterns.
We took a detailed look at the cards in the podcast Povídání u klubíčka #130.
Why do I like Crochet Stitch Patterns?
- First of all, because of the box itself — the cards are beautifully organized and easy to keep tidy.
- The individual stitch cards are portable, so you can simply place one next to your current crochet project and immediately know which pattern you are working from.
- The stitch patterns are simple, yet beautiful. I also used AI to generate a few ideas and inspirations for crocheted sweaters based on some of the patterns.
I would recommend this box of stitch patterns to both beginners and more advanced crocheters. The unusual yet very practical card format can be used anytime and for almost any crochet project.

Enjoy, and happy crocheting!
