Three quick snowflakes — no starching needed and perfect for using up leftover yarn — the dream of every crocheter short on time. This time, made with YarnArt Macrame Cotton or Macrame Cotton Lurex. I personally recommend the latter.
The idea to try a snowflake from cord-type yarn came to me literally in a minute. I needed a fast decorative gift. I got inspired on Instagram, where someone crocheted a snowflake from classic cotton cord, but to me, that didn’t quite match the festive holiday sparkle. So I went for YarnArt Macrame Cotton, ideally in the lurex version. One skein weighs 250 g, has 205 m of yarn, and consists of 75% cotton, 13% polyester, and 12% metallic fiber (that’s the lurex one).
These snowflakes take about five minutes to make. You can crochet them either following the diagrams (below the post) or the video tutorial. I’d say even a beginner can handle them, and with Macrame Lurex, success is guaranteed. So hurry up — just a few days left until Christmas, let’s make them! I personally need about 15 pieces for my tree.
Yarn kindly provided by www.bezvapleteni.cz, the official YarnArt importer for the Czech Republic.
