In today’s video tutorial, we’ll crochet a simple Christmas wreath using YarnArt Macrame Cotton cord.
YarnArt Macrame Cotton is a 2 mm thin cord, 250 g / 225 m, made of 85% cotton and 15% polyester. It’s suitable for all kinds of home décor projects – from small ornaments and baskets to large rugs. This yarn is perfect for beginners, as it’s lightweight, easy to work with, and gentle on the hands. Finished pieces made from this cord have a delicate and soft look.
The yarn was kindly provided by the PletemeSi.cz online store.

For the wreath itself, we’ll crochet a simple long chain and work single crochet stitches along it. It’s important not to twist the foundation chain, otherwise your wreath won’t naturally curl into a spiral. If it does twist the wrong way, you can try rolling it gently in the desired direction and shape the spiral base by hand.
Once you’ve crocheted a long enough piece, simply join the beginning and the end together, and you can start decorating your wreath. It makes a lovely Christmas ornament, even suitable for outdoor decorations. You can also use it to embellish larger Christmas wreaths or holiday gifts.
TIPS FOR YOU:

Row 2: Insert the hook into the second chain from the hook and make 1 SC, then 3 SC into the same stitch, working in the back loop only. Continue crocheting 4 SC into each chain stitch (back loop only) until the end of the row. A spiral shape will start to form. Make sure the foundation chain doesn’t twist at any point. In the last chain, crochet 3 SC and a slip stitch (SL ST) to finish. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Thread the loose end onto a yarn needle and guide it through the center of the spiral to the opposite side. Tie the two ends of the spiral together, forming a closed ring. Shape it into a wreath and decorate it with a ribbon or button.
