ARainbow yarn cakes in Večerníček colors and one Pinky Lime – all available at the Hravá klubka e-shop.
In episode 113 of the podcast Chatting Over a Ball of Yarn, we unwrapped rainbow yarn cakes from the Hravá klubka e-shop, browsed through the magazine Ona Ví, and explored a book from 1905, from which I managed to partially reconstruct a crochet pattern.
Chatting Over a Ball of Yarn #113 – English Subtitled
On vacation, I fell in love with the color combination of lime, pink, and black. Based on these shades, I had a sweater designed by artificial intelligence. Mrs. Ivanka fulfilled my wish with a beautiful yarn cake. You chose the name yourselves. The options were Pop Rebel or Pinky Lime. The second option won, and you can look forward to a raglan sweater. Pinky Lime is a four-ply yarn – 3 plies of 50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic + 1 ply of Lunar, a fine lurex thread wound around viscose fiber. I ordered 1250 meters, but knowing myself, I’ll probably order some extra black for the bottom part of the sweater. You can check out the yarn here.
Since I couldn’t resist the Večerníček collection, my little one and I picked the yarn Mach a Šebestová. This is a pink-violet combination. Again, it is 3 plies of 50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic + 1 ply of Lunar, a fine lurex thread wound around viscose fiber. I believe I have 1000 meters, which should make a wonderful vest. This time, I again tried artificial intelligence to generate a vest design based on the colors, and you can see the result below the text. You can get the Mach a Šebestová yarn here.
It wouldn’t be Ivanka without adding a surprise to my bag. In addition to special pens with the Hravá klubka logo and hazelnut Milka chocolate, I found a yarn cake called Jája a Pája. This yarn has 1500 meters and is also made of 3 plies + 1 Lunar. The yarn has unusual colors – a combination of wine red, dusty pink, and blue, and with the Lunar it looks gorgeous. From this length, it will definitely be enough for at least a 3/4 sleeve sweater. You can also get this yarn in other lengths here.
You can find the whole Večerníček collection here. Also you can follow Hravá klubka on their Facebook page, share your creations in the Hravá klubka group, or follow them on Instagram.
In the podcast, I also showed you a reconstruction of a pattern from the book Česká dívka from 1905. It was a little flower motif, which I will film and draw for you as well.
Happy shopping, and I look forward to the next episode of the podcast Chatting Over a Ball of Yarn.
