November is the month when we slowly start looking forward to Advent, light the first candles, and think about what we’ll create with our own hands this year. That’s why I’ve prepared the Christmas Challenge with Krampolinka – a shared crochet project that will bring a touch of festive spirit to each day.
What is the Christmas Challenge with Krampolinka?
The Christmas Challenge is a month-long crochet adventure in November. Every day, we’ll revisit one Christmas-themed project from the Krampolinka archives – from small ornaments and snowflakes to decorations and handmade gift ideas. Everything in the cozy spirit of yarn, hooks, and a cup of tea or coffee.
Each day in November, I’ll share a Christmas pattern, video, or idea on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube). You don’t have to crochet every single project – just join in whenever you have time and feel like it.
Tag your creations with #vanocnivyzvaskrampolinkou so we can admire them together. Every week we’ll have a small “showcase” of your projects and get into the Christmas spirit together. You can share your photos in the Krampolinka Facebook group or tag @krampolinka_hackovani|_crochet on Instagram. The complete playlist with all video tutorials can be found in one place here.
Why the Christmas Challenge in November?
For the past six years, I’ve prepared an Advent Calendar for you each December – every day we “unwrapped” a new crochet pattern. However, from your feedback, it turned out that Advent is often a very busy time, and many of you rarely get the chance to pick up your hook. Honestly, one new pattern a day sometimes caused more stress than joy.
That’s why this year brings a change. I’ve moved our Christmas crafting to November, when there’s more peace and time for crocheting. And in December, you can look forward to four special surprises – four brand new patterns you’ll be able to crochet comfortably while watching Christmas movies.
What You’ll Need
Nothing special – just the desire to create, a hook, some leftover yarn, and Christmas cheer. Every project is simple and suitable even for beginners. Each one takes up to about 120 minutes to make, so even if you’re short on time, you can still join in. You don’t have to crochet everything, but if you do join, don’t forget to tag your makes with #vanocnivyzvaskrampolinkou.
Christmas Joy from Now Until the Holidays
The Christmas Challenge with Krampolinka isn’t about perfection – it’s about the joy of creating. Throughout November, let’s remind ourselves that even a small ball of yarn can bring big Christmas happiness.
And the best part? You’ll have your Christmas decorations ready in advance, you’ll enjoy a peaceful Advent season, and you’ll have a stash of handmade gifts for colleagues and loved ones.
Wishing you cozy Christmas crafting,
Krampolinka 🎄
