Christmas

Crochet Bell “Elegance” – No Starch Needed!

3 listopadu, 2025

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without little bells – and when they don’t need to be starched, that’s even better! For this project, I chose YarnArt Elegance with a subtle lurex shimmer.

YarnArt Elegance comes in 50 g skeins with a length of 130 m. The composition is 80% viscose and 20% metallic fiber, all tone-on-tone. You can use this yarn to crochet the Sharm sweater, but with a smaller hook, it also works beautifully for holiday decorations. I tried it on a bell ornament, and it holds its shape perfectly without starching. So if you don’t feel like working with fabric stiffener (like Alba Effekt), try this quick and easy bell instead — it makes a lovely handmade gift for friends or colleagues.

Tip: You can also make this bell from YarnArt Macrame Cotton with lurex, which will also keep its shape without starching. You can decorate the bell with a tiny jingle bell, or do as I did — use a pearl bead and finish it with a lace ribbon for a delicate look.

The yarn was kindly provided by www.bezvapleteni.cz, the official importer of YarnArt in the Czech Republic. You can watch the unboxing video of the yarn package here. By the way, the Diamond yarn is the predecessor of Elegance — they’re identical in structure. I hope your Elegance Bell turns out beautifully!
