In today’s tutorial, we’ll crochet a simple gift bag together using YarnArt Macrame Cotton.
YarnArt Macrame Cotton comes in 250 g cones with a length of 225 m. The composition is 85% cotton and 15% polyester and the yarn is about 2 mm thick and perfect for any kind of home décor or accessory project — from placemats, bags, runners, rugs, to baskets or poufs. This time it is written pattern only, there’s no video tutorial, but I believe you’ll manage it easily.
As for today’s project, we’ll crochet two identical squares. Each square starts from the center, and the pattern creates a lovely star motif. Then we’ll place both squares together (right sides facing out) and join three sides using single crochet stitches. At the top, we’ll make a chain that will serve as the handle.
What can you use this bag for? It fits a Merci or Milka chocolate box perfectly, but you can also fill it with mistletoe, spruce branches, or lavender. It’s a reusable gift bag that is a beautiful present on its own! Add a small leather tag or decorative buttons for a finishing touch. The bag works up quickly, so let’s get started!
